GREAT news! (Hopefully)
A couple of days ago, I heard the proprietor of the Xtendovite product line, (a competitor to Strauss Heart drops,) who is located here in Ontario, Canada, say on air that the Province of Ontario's medical authority now allows Ontario MD doctors to PRACTICE NATURAL MEDICINE!! (His name is Don Wiskin.)
I don't know if this is old news, but it is the first I've heard of it, and to be appropriately cautious, it should be verified.
But imagine the fallout of such a move:
- No more taking away of medical licences if a doctor dares to recommend a natural remedy!
- This should lead to ND doctors having their services covered by medical insurance plans, especially the provincial government medical plans which cover virtually all medical care in Canada
(ND doctors have more or less been tacitly approved of for some years in Ontario, by way of the "Integrative Health" clinics in which MDs and NDs work together. I know an ND who was actually medical director of one integrative clinic, and had MDs reporting to her. NDs can prescribe and order lab tests in Ontario.)
- This should lead to natural health products to be included in various drug plans
- This could act as a SEED to expand into other provinces and the United States as well
Prayin' hard!

It's old news, and, it's not as liberating as Don Wiskin made it sound, but it is at least a little step in the right direction. Here is an article from the Canadian Medical Association about this issue: www.cmaj.ca/content/166/3/367.1
